Anti-corrosion coating of steel pipes - a key protective layer to extend service life

  • Steel pipe painting is an important step to prevent steel corrosion and improve weather resistance. We provide a variety of industrial-grade coating solutions, including primer + topcoat system, heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating, high-temperature resistant coating, etc., which are suitable for special needs such as marine environment, buried pipelines, and high-temperature equipment.

  • Common coating systems:

  • Epoxy primer + polyurethane topcoat: Suitable for outdoor or moderately corrosive environments;

  • Zinc-rich primer + acrylic topcoat: Provides good cathodic protection and aesthetics;

  • Coal tar pitch coating / glass flake coating: Suitable for buried and underwater environments.

  • Construction process:

  • Sandblasting pretreatment (above Sa2.5);

  • Spray primer (wet film thickness 60–80μm);

  • Mid-coat or topcoat (wet film thickness 80–120μm);

  • Natural or heated curing;

  • Paint film thickness detection and pinhole detection.

  • Coating advantages:

  • Resist moisture, salt spray, chemical corrosion;

  • Extend the life of steel pipes and reduce maintenance costs;

  • Customizable colors, logos and pipeline identification marks.

  • 📌 Service scope: Offshore platform pipelines, urban water supply pipes, natural gas pipelines, anti-corrosion coating of engineering components, etc.
